Qingfeng and Mingyue, two Taoist boys, presented two ginseng fruits to Tang Seng on the orders of their master, the immortal Zhenyuan. Because the fruit resembled a baby, Tang Seng dared not eat it. Bajie encouraged Wukong to steal the ginseng fruit from the garden, and the brothers shared it. The two Taoist boys found that the immortal fruit was missing and scolded Tang Seng and his disciples. Wukong, in anger, knocked down the ginseng fruit tree. That night, the four left in a hurry but were caught back by the immortal Zhenyuan who had returned from the Miluo Palace with a spell. Wukong promised to find an immortal prescription to cure the fruit tree.
Episode 8: Encounters on the Difficult Road
A strange wind blew on the Huangfeng Ridge, and Tang Seng was captured by a monster. To save his master, Wukong fought against the Yellow Wind Monster and was injured in the eyes by the monster's wind. The old mother who cured Wukong's eyes was Li Shan Lao Mu, who had changed her form. Wukong invited the Bodhisattva Lingji to subdue the Yellow Wind King, who was transformed from a yellow-haired marten. The three came to the Liusha River, where Wukong and Sha Wujing, who was waiting for the scripture retriever, fought several times. Muzha, a disciple of Guanyin, came and explained the situation, so Tang Seng accepted Sha Wujing as another disciple, and the four continued their journey to the west.
Episode 7: The Scheme to Subdue Zhu Bajie
Wuneng rescued Miss Gao. The elderly Gao couple took Wuneng as their son-in-law. At the banquet, Wuneng got drunk and showed his true face, scaring away the guests. Miss Gao also refused to share a room with him, so Wuneng locked her in the backyard, not allowing her to see her parents and family. Wukong and his master came to the manor for lodging. Wukong used a clever plan to find out about Wuneng's background. Wuneng was once the Marshal Tian Peng, but because he teased Chang'e, he was sent to the world, mistakenly born in a pig's womb. After being guided by Guanyin, he was waiting for the monk who would retrieve the scriptures. Tang Seng took him as a disciple and named him Zhu Bajie.
Episode 6: Trouble at the Guanyin Temple
The master and his disciple arrived at the Guanyin Temple, where the elder Jin Chi warmly welcomed them. Wukong showed off his kasaya to the elder, who became greedy and borrowed the kasaya to admire in his room. To possess the kasaya, Elder Jin Chi ordered the monks to set fire to the place, intending to burn the Tang Seng and his disciple to death. Wukong borrowed a fire-avoiding cover from the Heavenly King in the South Gate, which protected his master, and then blew a divine wind that turned the Guanyin Temple into rubble. The elder, filled with shame and fear, fell into the fire and died by burning himself. The treasured kasaya had already been stolen by a bear monster from Black Wind Mountain who wanted to show off his treasure at a "Buddha's Robe Meeting." Wukong invited Guanyin, who subdued the bear monster.
Episode 5: The Monkey King Protects Tang Seng
Guided by the Bodhisattva Guanyin, Wukong is willing to convert to Buddhism and waits day and night for the scripture pilgrim. Tang Seng passes by the Five Elements Mountain, lifts the seal of the Buddha, and rescues Wukong, giving him the name Sun Pilgrim. The master and disciple travel together and stay overnight in a farmhouse. In a flash of white light, Tang Seng's white horse disappears. Wukong tracks it down to the Eagle's Worry Gully and has a fierce battle with the White Dragon, but does not win. At night, three bandits come to rob the farmhouse, and Wukong kills all the bandits. Tang Seng blames him for killing, and Wukong leaves the master in a huff.
Episode 4: Imprisonment Under the Five Elements Mountain
The Jade Emperor invites the Buddha of the West, and the Buddha engages in a contest of wits with Wukong, who cannot escape from the Buddha's palm. The Buddha turns his five fingers into the "Five Elements Mountain," pressing Wukong under it. The heavenly palace holds a grand celebration to mark the capture of the demon monkey, and peace reigns in the world. Under the Five Elements Mountain, the Monkey King is lonely and cold, enduring the hardships of wind, rain, and snow.
Episode 3: The Great Sage's Heavenly Havoc
Wukong and Er Lang God display their divine powers, fighting endlessly without a clear winner. The Supreme Lord Lao Zi throws down a diamond ring from the sky, knocking Wukong down. The Jade Emperor orders the heavenly soldiers to take Wukong to the execution platform, where he is subjected to various forms of execution, including sword cuts, axe chops, and thunder and fire strikes, but remains unharmed. The immortals offer suggestions, and the Supreme Lord Lao Zi takes Wukong back to the Palace of the Golden Elixir, throwing him into the Eight Trigrams Furnace and refining him with the true fire of Samadhi. Unexpectedly, after forty-nine days, the Monkey King still jumps out of the furnace lively and energetic, having developed a pair of fiery eyes that can see through illusions. In a fit of rage, he storms the Hall of Supreme Harmony.
Episode 2: Official Appointment as the Imperial Horsekeeper
The Dragon King and the King of Hell complain to the Jade Emperor, who sends the Great White Planet to recruit the Monkey King to heaven to serve as an official. Wukong happily goes, and under the teasing of the Star Spirit of Wuqu, the Jade Emperor appoints him as the Imperial Horsekeeper. When Wukong realizes that he is merely a groom, he becomes furious and returns to the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit, raising a banner and proclaiming himself the Great Sage Equal to Heaven.
Episode 1 The Monkey King first appeared
There is a fairy stone on the top of Huaguo Mountain on the seashore of Dongsheng Shenzhou Aolai Country. One day, the fairy stone crashed and burst, and it was earth-shattering and turned into a stone monkey. This stone monkey is sensitive and intelligent. He makes friends with monkeys and finds a good place to settle down in water curtain cave. The monkeys respect the stone monkey as the Monkey King. The Monkey King sailed across the ocean alone to a fishing village in search of an immortal prescription. He picked up clothes, stole shoes and hats, and went to restaurants to drink and eat noodles, making many jokes and learning to be human. After searching all the way, the Monkey King finally climbed the square inch mountain in Lingtai and met the Subodhi in Sanxing Cave in Xieyue. His master named him the Monkey King.
