Episode 6: Trouble at the Guanyin Temple
The master and his disciple arrived at the Guanyin Temple, where the elder Jin Chi warmly welcomed them. Wukong showed off his kasaya to the elder, who became greedy and borrowed the kasaya to admire in his room. To possess the kasaya, Elder Jin Chi ordered the monks to set fire to the place, intending to burn the Tang Seng and his disciple to death. Wukong borrowed a fire-avoiding cover from the Heavenly King in the South Gate, which protected his master, and then blew a divine wind that turned the Guanyin Temple into rubble. The elder, filled with shame and fear, fell into the fire and died by burning himself. The treasured kasaya had already been stolen by a bear monster from Black Wind Mountain who wanted to show off his treasure at a "Buddha's Robe Meeting." Wukong invited Guanyin, who subdued the bear monster.
